Pest Control Business Valuation Calculator

Explore a value scenario using your own assumptions. This calculator shows the arithmetic; it does not choose a market multiple, assess your business or generate an offer.

Build Your Valuation Scenario

Choose your earnings basis, set your own multiple assumptions, and see how cash and debt change the result.

01   Set earnings02   Choose multiples03   Adjust for cash & debt
Your annual earnings

Use normalized earnings for a representative full year.

Your multiple assumptions

Choose both assumptions. No market multiple is selected for you.

Cash and debt at closing

Start with 0 unless your proposed deal includes one of these amounts. Do not count the same item twice.

Educational scenario only. Enter normalized annual earnings and multiples you select. No email address is required, and this calculator does not submit or store these inputs.

How This Calculator Works

Operating value equals normalized annual earnings multiplied by your chosen low and high assumptions. To show an equity-value scenario, the calculator then adds eligible cash included in the sale, subtracts business debt paid off at closing, and applies any other agreed adjustment.

Starting pointOperating value
Buyer receivesCash included

Agreed separatelyOther adjustments

The operating-value scenario assumes a cash-free, debt-free basis with normal operating assets and the agreed normal working capital included. If your quoted price uses different terms, this simplified bridge may not apply. Do not add retained cash or subtract obligations already reflected in the price.

Inputs are calculated in your browser. This tool does not transmit them to Pest Control Exit Advisory, create a buyer profile or save a valuation. General site analytics are described in our Privacy Policy.

Select and Normalize Earnings First

Owner-operated

SDE Scenario

Use earnings appropriate to one working owner, with defensible adjustments. The result does not provide for hiring someone to perform all of the owner’s duties.

Managed operation

Adjusted EBITDA Scenario

Retain the management, licensed technical capacity and other operating costs needed after closing. Explain any proposed add-backs and avoid counting an expense twice.

Review the SDE/EBITDA reconciliation if you are unsure which measure fits. The calculator does not normalize raw profit for you. Negative or zero earnings require a different analysis; this positive-earnings model will not produce a meaningful result.

Choose Multiples With Comparable Evidence

Same earnings basisComparable sizeRelevant dateMatching deal terms

The low and high inputs are intentionally blank. Read the multiples guide to distinguish a published indication from a completed transaction and match its earnings definition, size, timing and payment structure. No risk score silently selects a multiple here.

If your two assumptions are equal, the tool produces a single-value scenario. A wider range shows greater assumed sensitivity, not a measured confidence interval.

What the Result Does Not Include

This is a value scenario—not the amount you will take home. These items need a separate review before you evaluate an offer.

Your proceeds

Fees, Taxes and Closing Holdbacks

Advisory and legal fees, taxes, escrow and other amounts withheld at closing are not deducted. Your final take-home proceeds may be lower than the equity scenario.

Payment terms

Money You May Receive Later

Seller-financed payments and earnouts can arrive over time or depend on future performance. The calculator does not assess timing, default risk or whether those payments will be earned.

The deal structure

Working Capital and Separate Assets

A working-capital target or closing adjustment is not calculated unless you enter an agreed amount. Real estate, excluded assets, route-only sales and intangible assets are not valued separately.

Business verification

A Review of Your Actual Business

The tool does not examine financial records, licenses, customers, service obligations or a buyer’s offer. It does not verify your earnings adjustments or select the right multiple for your business.

Turn an Assumption Into a Better-Informed Discussion

A Free Business Valuation request starts a separate conversation about your business and the information behind the estimate. Calculator use alone does not send an inquiry. For the full reasoning, read the business-worth guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the calculator select an industry multiple for me?

No. You choose both multiples. The tool calculates scenarios from those assumptions without an automatic industry recommendation.

Are my calculator inputs sent to Pest Control Exit Advisory?

No. The calculator performs the arithmetic in your browser and does not submit or store its inputs. A valuation request is a separate form action.

Is the result my cash at closing?

No. The result is an operating-value range and simplified equity scenario. Fees, taxes, escrow, deferred payments, earnouts and other transaction terms affect actual proceeds.
